Moth Circus - Sideshow Sweetheart review

They Say :- The 4 members of Moth Circus are all Survivors from Project Serpo. They have
tried out different bass players (Like Bob from the little town of Twin Peaks) , but he didn't quite
work out. The music these moth eaten aliens play can best be described as "Pamela Anderson
masturbating at a freak show" Before they pack their belongings and head back to the Zeta Retculi
system, they hope to leave a footprint in every single face of the entire human rase. Like the crew
on Apollo 11 said ; "We come in peace" ..........Well..... We DONT!!!
Oh by the way; nice planet, we'll take it"

Sideshow Sweetheart is the eclectic somewhat disjointed debut album from Norwegian rockers Moth
Circus. The title track is a perfectly solid rock song and this release includes some genuine moments of
greatness, unfortunately these are interspersed with some moments of utter aural confusion which
seem to interrupt the flow of the album, and in addition on first listen there are definitely places
where some of the riffs seem just a little unoriginal.
If you like your music slightly odd, this is definitely a release worth checking out, and one which
shows promise. This is in no way a bad debut, but it has more ups and downs than a proverbial roller-coaster..
which seems apt given the title.
