Huata : Atavist of Mann

Here comes another one of those 70s inspired occult records: before you look away, Huata’s take on occult metal is dark and morbid (as you might expect) but also laced with a rather nice line in dramatic melancholy (which you might not have been).

There’s also a lightness of touch to the record which probably means they aren’t taking themselves too seriously or, rather, its entirely serious, in which case we are all in trouble. A dark and occasionally, bewitching ( yes, I know you saw what I did there) delight with more doom and gloom than an English summer.
