Brief History :
Death metal lifers ARCHAIOS hail from the Dominican Republic, a country known less for its extreme metal scene than for its sunny climate and status as one of the Third World’s most conservative nations. The band just released a brand new album titled “The Distant” via Dark Canvas Records. The album was mixed and mastered by Kanky Lora (who has worked with Cavalera Conspiracy, Straight Line Stitch and Mark Rizzo Band). The band’s sound runs deep within both traditional and modern death metal, mixing influences from Cannibal Corpse to Dark Tranquility and early In Flames while also incorporating diverse elements from other musical genres and soulful guitar solos.

Re-release via Dark Canvas Records, a new limited edition on the band’s first album “Out of the Shadows…”
Interesting Stuff :
We’ve been together for more than 15 years, suriving with zero support from labels, sponsors or promoters and living in a country where Metal is blacklisted and generally rejected by society and media. Despite of this, we’re still here, stronger than ever and finally, little by little, we are starting to be noticed by people outside our country. We feel proud of being the first band signed to an American Label and finally break the invisible wall between the Dominican Republic Metal scene and the rest of the Metal world.
