We like Bored Stiff Records. It’s always good to see another small, independent label working with new bands to get their music heard.
The guys sent us some promo tracks recently, and standing head and shoulders above the rest was Disengage by Engraved Disillusion. This is a massive attention grabber of a track which opens with an impressive, almost power metal-esque, guitar intro before the familiar death metal growl is unleashed. It’s far from predictable though with some deeply impressive instrumental sections interspersing the Death Metal fury.
Lots of bands have been labelled “progressive Death Metal”, but in Engraved Disillusion there’s finally one worthy of that tag.
