Now this is something special. If you’ve been paying attention you will know that there have been some pretty awesome bands picked out by the CackBlabbath spotlight since we started it last year, but The Day I Snapped are definitely one of my favourites.
The band have been together for just over 10 years and it shows, they’re musically tight and polished without sounding in any way manufactured as they purvey their their own brand of modern melodic punk rock. The influences of American Punk bands like Alkaline Trio and Bad Religion are definitely there but The Day I Snapped manage the neat trick of wearing their influences with pride while still sounding fresh.
The band recently released their second album Tales Of Ordinary Madness which (had I been paying attention) would have had a decent shout at making my top 10 for last year, I just love the energy, the massive hooks and the bouncing, rocking vibe. I bet they’re a fucking blast live too….
Awesome stuff, you really NEED to check these guys out.
