Twitrfest 2 : 120 days to go, have YOU got your ticket*

*No, you haven’t :-)

Anyway, with 120 days until the doors open on Twitrfest 2 I think it’s time to announce a few more bands, so without further ado we add a stunning mix of TF veterans and new blood to the Wakefield bill, so come to the Snooty Fox on the 25th of Feb 2012 to see Furyon, My Great Affliction, Groan, Kingdon Of The Blind…..

and………

Firstly, Twitrfest just wouldn’t be the same without Birmingham’s premier exponents of trve cvlt power metal cheese, We’re delighted to announce the return of the mighty Dakesis, hot of the back of their awesome (probably, can I have a copy please) new album. There will be cleavage, there will be a Keytar and there will be sparkly pyro. What more do you want ?

Here at CackBlabbath we’ve been massive fans of Triaxis since before the site actually existed. Their help and advice was instrumental in getting TF1 off the ground and Krissie made it quite clear that we’d be in trouble if they weren’t invited back :-) The band have recently completed recording work on their second album which promises to be something a bit special.

You want more ?

Joining headliners Furyon in the long trip up from the south coast, we are stoked that one of the most hotly tipped bands to come out of the vibrant Brighton scene will be making an appearance. Lots of people are saying good things about Bleeding Oath, and this will be a chance for us up north to find out for ourselves. Come see the band, described by manager Dave Fensome as “heavy little fuckers”, doing what they do best.

Adding an international-ish flavour to the events it’s the band tipped as the next-big-thing to emerge from the ever-expanding Northern Irish rock scene. Beyond excited to announce that Trucker Diablo are coming back. Since their last appearance at TF1 the band have got a record deal, played Download and won a slot at next year’s Hammerfest, so see ‘em before they get too big for the likes of us. Tom from the band said “First time we were approached to play Twitrfest we were honoured that our Heavy Metal friends across the water would include us in their grass roots festival.  To be asked back just makes it that more special for us..It’s gonna rock…..”

Another band about to have their TF cherry popped is Valous, presently working hard and making waves in and around their native Birmingham. Apparently 2012 will see them “continue their plans for planetary ownage and conversion of all who doubt that metal isn’t anything but the one true way”.

Finally, we’ve got classic rock, southern rock and metal of all varieties. What we need is some good old fashioned scumbag punk, and there’s no one better at delivering that than the gorgeous Sassy Kraimspri and her band. You have GOT to see this lot live. Sexy, attitude fuelled and just oozing cool, Punk is alive and well and living in Scandinavia.

So there you have it. If that lot doesn’t float your boat then I have no idea what will. So come along to the Snooty Fox and support live music. You can get your tickets here.
