The BBC News website has confirmed earlier reports of the passing of guitar legend Gary Moore. Adam Parsons, who manages Thin Lizzy, told the BBC that Mr Moore had died in the early hours of Sunday morning.
Gary was a regular at the Edinburgh Playhouse when I first started going to gigs in the mid 80s as he toured albums like Run For Cover and Wild Frontier, not to mention a brilliant performance at Marillion’s Garden Party in 1986 at Milton Keynes Bowl.
After a few years as a blues musician Gary returned to his rock roots last year, and I shot this video at his High Voltage festival appearance last year.
